CONCERTS & EVENTS

Upcoming Concerts

Our spring concert presents a musical journey focusing on Anne Frank’s diary, which is an incredibly important historical and literary document because it offers a deeply personal, firsthand account of life during the Holocaust through the eyes of a young Jewish girl in hiding. Her honest reflections, hopes, fears, and observations humanize the immense scope of World War II and give voice to millions who were silenced. The diary not only highlights the brutal realities of persecution but also reveals Anne’s resilience, intelligence, and enduring belief in human goodness, making it a vital tool for education on tolerance, empathy, and the consequences of hatred. Our selected music speaks to those emotions, as well as the unyielding hope that often transcends tragedy.

Upcoming Concerts

Voca Lyrica traditionally presents two home concerts each year: a spring concert in June and a holiday concert in
December. Please check back here a month before each concert for more information. We look forward to seeing you!

Upcoming Events

Music, smiles, and memories always fill the air at our Cabaret fundraisers. Voca Lyrica members and other local talent put on skits, sing familiar melodies, and showcase physical comedy. These events feature entertainment, dinner, a cash bar, and a silent auction with past items ranging from a evening at the Grand Rapids Symphony, an overnight stay at the Traverse City Villa, pieces from local artists, spa gift certificates, and wine selections. The proceeds of ticket sales and the silent auction fund both our operational and concert costs in support of our mission for musical excellence through performance and outreach. Stay tuned for our next Cabaret in 2026!
